Reverse Advent Calendar
This year we are looking at doing Reverse Advent Calendars as a way of blessing our community this Christmas time.
We are inviting each person who wishes to be involved to put one item each day during the month in their Christmas bag. These items can be anything from a toy to a bag of sweets, a bar of chocolate to a tin of soup, a pot of jam to some savoury nibbles. So long as all items are non-perishable, it is only your imagination that will limit what can go in, as well as the space in the bag!
Maybe do this with friends, families, or 2 or 3 as a life group and see what fun you can have together.
You may decide to do one for someone on their own or a family with young children, an elderly person or a pet lover.
Ready-to-fill Christmas bags can be collected from the back of church or by contacting any of the people listed below.
The idea is to start putting items in your bag on 1st November until 24th November and then for the bags to be brought to church by the last weekend of November so that they can be distributed in early December to bless those in need within our parish, CAP clients and any one else in need who is brought to our attention.
Please do contact Helen Attree, Val Fane or Lis Whybrow if you want to find out more.
We are excited to see how this can bless our local community.
