Carrying Jesus- The Way of Humbleness and Gentleness
A creative quiet morning on how we might carry the humility and gentleness of Jesus, led by Bonnie Clarke.
Throughout the bible, we see examples of humbleness and gentleness. When Mary humbly travelled to Bethlehem, she did not arrive in grandeur, but was probably carried on the back of a donkey – known for its patience , humility, and surefootedness.
Later, as Jesus entered into Jerusalem, he chose to be carried on the colt of a donkey, symbolic of his gentleness and complete humility on the path to the cross,
Bonnie Clarke invites us to reflect on how we might carry Jesus within our own hearts and lives, through her paintings and imagery of the above, and how, we, too, are called to carry the presence of God in this creative art quiet morning. Resources available for anyone wishing to explore their creativity.
9am for coffee and pastries.
Sunday 15th March 6pm at St Andrew’s – Lent Worship and Waiting.
Our popular time at the SIX service of ‘worship and waiting on God.’
